Exciting changes in the Magic Kingdom

Two exciting changes that I've heard about this week in the Magic Kingdom are the new Haunted Mansion queue and Mickey's new home in the Town Square Theater. Any Dizealots (that would be Disney + zealots) will be excited about this news.

The Haunted mansion queue is finally opened (although not yet completed), and it looks fantastic (see pictures here at WDWmagic). There are many interactive features and cool new tombstones.

There is an interesting tombstone which lets you touch musical instruments and the one you touch plays according musical instrument. Another musical addition is a giant Ravenscroft organ that you can actually play. A definite crowd pleaser will be the giant Captain's monument. It features water and sound effects of different types. There are other spooky effects like a bookshelf that the books move in and out. Disney probably has even more tricks up their sleeve. I can't wait to see how it's finished

The other news - straight from the Disney Parks Blog is that Disney released today is that Mickey's new home in the Magic Kingdom will be none other than the Town Square Theater. Looks like they are adding in a cool Magic theme. Should be very exciting!

New Trip on the Horizon

Well, I got the text. My dear hubby texted me yesterday and said, "Let's plan a trip to Disney World in 2012!". I am so excited. We have been wanting to take a trip for awhile but with a baby and traveling to Scotland this year (my husband is Scottish) it has been put on the back burner. We originally were going to go on a cruise to Mexico, but with this new trip planning and the fact that there's been a lot of violence in Mexico that might turn into this!

Mind you, I wanted to go on a cruise, but Disney is so much better!

So we are planning a mega-trip for 2012. We are talking 2 weeks to Disney (and possibly Universal to catch the Potter attraction) with all of my family and all of the family from Scotland. It should be so much fun! So much planning to do now! Making a budget, finding the hotels, planning an iternary that we probably follow, all things I can't wait to get started on.

Too excited to sleep

This is my new blog. I chose the name because when I was young there was a commercial (I believe it is still sometimes played) where too little kids are too excited to sleep because they are going to Walt Disney World the next day.

Those are my exact feelings of Walt Disney World. The purpose of this blog is to talk about what excites me about Disney World and the new things they are doing. I would also like to meet other Disney fanatics.

First let me say I LOVE Disney. I am probably one of the biggest Walt Disney World fans you will ever meet. If my budget allowed it I would go a lot more than I do, but I have to live vicariously through others more than not.
